The Four Pillars
The Organisation is built around four pillars, designated by the acronym GEDAR : GEDAR.
Ethical governance
It embodies integrity, transparency and accountability in its own management, and keeps partisan neutrality as a statutory principle. Through example and advocacy it works to positively influence Haiti's legal and institutional framework.
Sectoral development
It designs, supports and evaluates concrete projects in priority sectors: health, agriculture, energy, education and technology. It particularly supports agro-industry and processing manufacturing, and develops the green economy and technology.
Economic empowerment
It fosters inclusive economic development by supporting entrepreneurship, local job creation and access to sustainable financing, including diaspora investment. It encourages the social and solidarity economy.
Next generation and leadership
It trains young people and new generations and gives them responsibility, reserving a real place for them in its bodies and decisions, in order to durably strengthen Haitian human capital and ensure the movement's continuity.
Guiding principles
Four cross-cutting principles govern the Organisation's action, whichever pillar is concerned.
Civic dialogue
Major directions are only set after consulting members and communities, in an open, respectful and non-partisan setting.
Unity with the diaspora
Haiti and its diaspora act as one body: their skills, networks and resources are associated with every pillar, inside Haiti and abroad.
Knowledge transmission
Every project includes knowledge sharing between generations, between professionals and young people, and between territories.
Cultural memory
The history, language, heritage and shared values of the Haitian people inspire the Organisation's methods, symbols and communication.
These principles are binding on bodies, commissions, members and partners. They guide the interpretation of these statutes.
The diaspora, a force for transformation
Haitians abroad are stakeholders in the movement: territorial relays, skills transfer, youth mentoring and investment in priority fields.
